Hehe, who are presently uncle Bob's TOP favorite artists he begged to put on the turntable since 03MAY06? I'm anxious to find out myself before 01Jan08 after my absence 11NOV07 on this great site.

Open guess, my friends! :-)
You at least did not miss any TTRH episode since 07NOV...

I still think Doug Sahm should be considered the most played artist on Theme Time - given that both he (solo) and the Sir Douglas Quintet have four plays (and I think that doesn't include the playing of Nueovo Laredo this week?) Anyone agree?

Dear Phaedra,
Unfortunately Doug Sahm passed away on 18NOV99. He is still remembered and Bob too appreciates his great talents.
Our DJ did not play so far any records (yet) by The Texas Tornados.
Up to TTRH # 60 Doug was on the air 4 times. Give me some days please to be completely up to date.

Meanwhile you may be anxious to sign a petition so he can enter The Hall Of Fame. Better late than never!

To cheer you up I kindly invite you, thx to our friend stewART, to listen to Doug during his last concert in Belgium a few days after Jerry Garcia died in 1995. May be a good inspiration for uncle Bob in Mexico end of next month. ;-)

Pierre,

Thanks again for your updates! One correction, Louis Armstrong performed with the Cannon Jug Stompers in the first of the "Around the World" shows. (I'm pretty sure it was the Jug Stompers). This should give Armstrong a bump up...he both sang and played trumpet on the track.

Oops...I was wrong. I was remembering the Armstrong track on the "Walking" show with the Mills Brothers, which you did count. Keep up the good work.
